One man dead in Edmonton bar shooting, 6 others injured

A man has been killed and several others injured after shots rang out early Saturday morning at a lounge in Edmonton.

Police say they were called early Saturday morning after a report that multiple shots were fired outside a hookah lounge in Northside, near 118 Avenue and 124 Street.

Multiple bullet casings lined the ground outside on Saturday afternoon.

Two women and four men were treated by EMS and taken to hospital with various injuries, while another male victim made it to the hospital on his own.

One of the men is confirmed to have died while four of the other victims are said to have been dealing with non-life-threatening injuries. Two others remained in serious condition by Saturday evening.

      Police say they have found a vehicle they believe is connected to the shooting in a north Edmonton neighbourhood. They are hoping witnesses in the area of Schonsee Way and 79 Street may have seen something, or can provide dashcam footage.

      Police have not revealed what sparked the violence. They continue to investigate.
