LETHBRIDGE (660 NEWS) – Strong winds and power outages have forced many schools in Lethbridge to evacuate.
The Lethbridge School Division sent out a notice Wednesday morning saying all schools east of the Old Man River are closed as electricity was knocked out affecting a large portion of the city.
The division said it’s not sure when power will be restored and although a few schools haven’t been affected by the outage, they said evacuation makes sense given the unpredictable nature of the weather.
