CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Two young puppies are lucky to be alive after a Good Samaritan found them abandoned in a cardboard box in a northwest parking lot.
The Calgary Humane Society said the man brought the puppies to them after finding them in the East Hills Costco parking lot on November 30.

Senior Manager of Animal Cruelty Investigations Brad Nichols, said they’re now looking for help to find the person responsible for abandoning the pups.
“Fortunately for these puppies he (Good Samaritan) brought them into the Calgary Humane Society for immediate care. At this point, we’re investigating, trying to locate the individual that left these dogs and thus far between surveillance video and canvassing the area, we’re coming up short.”
Thankfully, the puppies, now seven weeks old are doing well and the Humane Society is hopeful they’ll be adopted soon.
While incidents of abandoned dogs are common for the Society, Nichols said this situation could have been worse.
“They’re about seven weeks old at this point so we’re in the midst of feeding them up and getting them into (good) health that they’ll be adoptable in fairly short order.”
If you have any information regarding this case or any instances of animal cruelty, you can report them through the Calgary Humane Society’s Report Cruelty page.
