Edmonton police investigating 5-vehicle collision on Anthony Henday Drive

Edmonton police are investigating a collision involving five vehicles on Anthony Henday Drive on Thursday morning.

The Edmonton Police Service says the crash happened before 6:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the ring road near 87 Avenue.

Police say no significant injuries or vehicle damage was reported.

Traffic was impacted, with the northbound Anthony Henday reduced to one lane.

Authorities hinted at the rain maybe playing a part in the collision, as they warned drivers to slow down “during periods of inclement weather, including heavy rain.”
