A stretch of westbound Yellowhead Trail in Edmonton has reopened after repairs to damage caused by recent heavy rainfall.
The affected section, between St. Albert Trail and 97 Street, was closed while crews carried out extensive work to repair the roadway following flooding.
The City of Edmonton says the repairs have now been completed, allowing traffic to resume along the busy commuter route.
City officials are also thanking Edmontonians for their patience and understanding while crews worked to restore the roadway.
The reopening marks the end of a significant repair effort following the recent storms that caused damage to infrastructure across parts of the city.
