Edmonton massage therapist arrested in sexual assault case

An Edmonton-based massage therapist was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a client earlier this month.

According to Edmonton police (EPS), a female client reported that Julio Uribe, 36, allegedly touched her in a sexual manner without her consent during a massage at a studio located in the area of 34 Avenue and 97 Street.

EPS arrested Uribe and charged him with one count of sexual assault.

He was released on condition that he doesn’t contact the woman and not to go to the massage studio where the alleged instance happened.

Investigators believe there may be clients who may have similar experience with Uribe and are asking them to come forward.
