Suspect sought in fire thought to be deliberately set at central Edmonton business

Edmonton police are trying to identify a suspect in a fire near Commonwealth Stadium last month.

The Edmonton Police Service says a fire damaged the exterior of a business at 91 Street and 111 Avenue on May 10.

Investigators believe the fire was deliberately set.

Police are looking for a suspect who was captured on surveillance footage.

The suspect was wearing a black Adidas sweater, blue jeans and black and white Adidas running shoes. He was riding an orange Marin mountain bike towing a small blue trailer.

“These types of events are troubling, especially with other commercial and residential buildings in close proximity,” said Det. Rogatien Bourque of the EPS’ investigative response team.
