Provincial health officials are alerting the public to a potential measles exposure that occurred across several travel hubs in Alberta including the Calgary International Airport.
Health authorities say individuals may have been exposed to measles at the following locations and during the listed time periods:
- Calgary International Airport – Baggage Claim Carousel #4 – March 10, 2026, 4:45 p.m.–8:50 p.m.
- Cold Shot Bus Company – Calgary Terminal, 1313 44 Ave NE – March 10, 2026, 6:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

Officials say anyone who was at these locations during the listed times and was born in or after 1970, has fewer than two documented doses of the measles vaccine, and has never had measles disease, could be at risk.
Those individuals are urged to review their immunization records and monitor for symptoms, especially if they need to visit a healthcare facility in the coming days.
The province has seen a resurgence of measles this year, with nearly 200 confirmed cases so far in 2026. That follows a significant spike in 2025, when Alberta recorded more than 2,000 cases.
Calgary has reported only two confirmed cases this year, while nearly half of all 2026 cases have been identified in the South Zone.
