The Edmonton and Sherwood Park locations of L’Oca Quality Market will close on March 12 after opening for just two years. Leo Cruzat reports.

L’Oca Quality Market announced that it will close its stores in Edmonton and Sherwood Park on March 12.

Restaurants Pyro and Oro will also be closing at the same time.

The company which was also set to open a new grocery store in St. Albert, said it will no longer go forward with those plans.

In a statement to CityNews, the store said, “We were humbled by the difficulty of executing a locally focused, hand-crafted business model and despite our best efforts we didn’t see a sustainable path forward for the business.”

L’Oca opened its Sherwood Park location in 2024, while the Edmonton branch was opened early 2025.
