1 person stabbed in altercation near Whyte Ave: Edmonton police

Edmonton police are investigating a stabbing near Whyte Avenue that sent one person to hospital on Tuesday.

Police responded to reports of a stabbing near 93 Street and 81 Avenue just before 4 p.m.

According to police, a 24-year-old man stabbed a 39-year-old man during a dispute. Authorities say the men knew each other.

The suspect was arrested while the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate.
