Authorities say nine more suspects have been charged in connection with the dismantling of an alleged criminal organization with close ties to the Hells Angels in Edmonton last fall.

The Edmonton Police Service says the accused, who range in age from 34 to 56, are from Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Ardrossan and Alberta Beach.

They face a wide range of weapons, drugs and violence charges including conspiracy to commit assault and extortion; participation in activities of a criminal organization; possession of proceeds of crime; and production of a controlled substance.

Police allege their 11-month investigation into the One Order Motorcycle Club (MC) – an organization with chapters in Eastern Canada looking to establish itself in Alberta’s capital – uncovered firearms trafficking, extortion, robbery and assaults.

Authorities say that investigation culminated when 200 officers executed search warrants across 40 locations in Alberta and B.C. on Sept. 23. Police say they seized weapons, ammunition, cigarettes, pills, cash and more.

Eighteen suspects were arrested during the raids – members of the One Order MC and its alleged associates, including a “full-patched” Hells Angels member and an identified firearm supplier. A 19th suspect turned himself in the following day.

Seven of those suspects were charged in November.
