Pedestrian struck by Valley Line Southeast LRT near Bonnie Doon

A pedestrian was struck by a Valley Line Southeast LRT train near the Bonnie Doon stop Monday morning, causing minor delays for commuters.

The Edmonton Police Service says officers were called to 83 Street and 78 Avenue around 7:30 a.m.

A man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“Crews were able to restore Valley Line service but there are still minor delays at this time,” said Ryan Birch, the Edmonton Transit Service’s director of bus and security operations.

The collision is under investigation by Edmonton police.
