Police looking into suspicious incident that left 1 dead, 1 injured in northeast Edmonton

Edmonton police say one man is dead and a woman is in hospital, following a weapons complaint in the city’s northeast on Saturday.

EPS responded to a weapons complaint around 8:41 p.m. on Nov. 29, near 160A Avenue and 83 Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 23-year-old man dead, in what is believed to be suspicious circumstances. Police say an autopsy is scheduled for a later date.

A 53-year-old woman was also found suffering from serious, life-threatening injuries. She was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Police were also able to take a 25-year-old man into custody. It is believed that all three were known to each other prior to the incident.
