Authorities have closed down a west Edmonton drug house which they say saw rampant criminal activity and more than 40 police visits in the last five months.
The Alberta government says Alberta Sheriffs closed the “problem property” at 15812 110A Avenue Northwest for 90 days – until Feb. 3, 2026.
All individuals, including the property owner — who is said to have lived there with his son — must vacate the premises. The Mayfield neighbourhood property will be boarded up, fenced and all the locks will be changed.
Members with the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit of the Alberta Sheriffs will monitor the property for activity while the investigation is ongoing.

“Residents have consistently reported people leaving the property appearing to be under the influence of drugs, along with suspected thefts linked to people associated with the property,” the province said in a news release.
One neighbour told CityNews that EMS and Edmonton Fire would constantly come to the property.
Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Services Mike Ellis says there was “dangerous and illegal activity” at the property, leading to “chaos and disorder” in the neighbourhood.
“It’s a small cul-de-sac where lots of people were observing a high level of criminal activity,” added SCAN Insp. Andrew Albers. “To the south, there’s a school, multiple greenspaces.”
The SCAN unit has investigated the property four times since June 2019, the province says.
“A previous residential safety compliance inspection at the property uncovered methamphetamine, weapons, cash and drug paraphernalia,” according to the news release.
Edmonton police is handling the investigation, and would handle any possible charges.
