Edmonton election results now official

With time to process votes, Edmonton’s election results are now official, according to Elections Edmonton.

In total, 206,799 Edmontonians cast their ballots during this year’s municipal election, which is 30.4 per cent of all eligible voters.

Andrew Knack will be Edmonton’s next mayor, after receiving 78,519 votes, 37.98 per cent.

As for Edmonton’s city council, the wards will be represented as follows:

  • Ward Aniriq – Erin Rutherford
  • Ward Dene – Aaron Paquette
  • Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi – Jon Morgan
  • Ward Karhiio – Keren Tang
  • Ward Métis – Ashley Salvador
  • Ward Nakota Isga – Reed Clarke
  • Ward O-day’min – Anne Stevenson
  • Ward papastew – Michael Janz
  • Ward Pihêsiwin – Michael Elliott
  • Ward sipiwiyiniwak – Thu Parmar
  • Ward Sspomitapi – Jo-Anne Wright
  • Ward tastawiyiniwak – Karen Principe

On top of councillors and the mayor, Edmontonians also elected school trustees for school divisions.
