New $50K reward for suspect wanted in two Edmonton homicide investigations

Once again, Saed Osman is on the list of Canada’s most wanted. A new $50K reward is being offered to help catch the man accused in two separate first-degree murders

The man wanted Canada-wide in connection with two Edmonton police homicide investigations is again among the country’s most-wanted fugitives.

Saed Osman, a regular on the Bolo Program’s list, has cracked the latest top 25.

Bolo is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Osman – featured at number nine on the list. The reward is available until June 9, 2026.

“The Bolo Program is a valued partner in supporting police services with the resources to offer these incentives for tipsters to come forward,” said Acting Insp. Colin Leathem with EPS Major Crimes Branch. “And now that Osman is wanted for first-degree murder in two separate homicides, we are pleased to see that this $50,000 reward has been re-activated.”

Osman is facing first-degree murder charges in the Dec. 8, 2020, fatal shooting of 25-year-old Mahad Bashir Farah downtown. Also charged with first-degree murder in that shooting was Amir Hussen, who is currently in police custody for unrelated charges.

Osman is also wanted in relation to the March 12, 2022, shooting outside Edmonton’s Ertale Lounge at 124 Street and 118 Avenue. Police believe suspects fired roughly 70 rounds into a crowded area outside the lounge.

Edmonton police have arrested four suspects in that investigation, including a man who allegedly illegally sold a gun used in the shooting.

Osman is described as six feet tall weighing 180 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair (possibly braided) and a scar on his right wrist. Police suspect he may have changed his appearance, including his hair and facial hair.

Investigators believe Osman, who is from Ontario, may be in Edmonton or Saskatchewan. He is sometimes known as Guled Osman or by the nickname “Styles,” according to police.
