Fire at west Edmonton duplex linked to Samuel Bird case suspicious, EPS investigating

Edmonton fire crews responded to a blaze at a duplex in west Edmonton early Monday morning.
Crews arrived at the duplex located near 106 Avenue and 150 Street at 4:56 a.m. The fire was under control at 5:46 a.m. and declared out at 6:08 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Edmonton Fire Rescue Services investigators and the Edmonton Police Service.
This is the same house where EPS executed a search warrant on September 18. EPS has confirmed to CityNews that the warrant was related to the disappearance of Edmonton teen Samuel Bird.
Monday afternoon, EPS released an image of a white cargo-style minivan that is believed to be of interest in connection with the fire.
