Motorcyclist involved in central Edmonton collision dies

Edmonton police are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle that took place earlier this week in central Edmonton.

On Aug. 18 at about 6:15 p.m., Edmonton police responded to reports of a collision around 102 Street and 106 Avenue.

It was reported to police that a 35-year-old man operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle was headed westbound on 106 Avenue when it struck a Jeep that had just left a stop sign while travelling southbound on 102 Street.

The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. He was succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

Police say speed is considered a factor in the collision.
