Edmonton police release sketch of man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman

Edmonton police have released a composite sketch of a man who is believed to have sexually assaulted a woman in the Aster neighbourhood in May.

EPS says around 7 a.m. on May 28, officers responded to a report that a woman had been sexually assaulted, claiming an unknown man was in her bed.

She reportedly fled the scene, and when she returned, the man was gone.

Through an investigation, police tried looking for nearby video surveillance footage, but were unsuccessful.

The man has been described as in his early 20s, clean-shaven, around 5’6″ or 5’7″, with a slight build.

Police say this is believed to be an isolated incident, and don’t believe there is an ongoing risk to the public.

Anyone who may have any information on the man is asked to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
