40-year-old Edmonton man killed in fatal collision in Spruce Grove

Alberta RCMP says a 40-year-old man from Edmonton is dead following a three-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle Thursday afternoon.
Mounties responded to a report of a collision near Jennifer Heil Way and Tri Leisure Way in Spruce Grove around 4:58 p.m.
When they arrived at the scene, the rider of the motorcycle — who was confirmed to be from Edmonton — was already dead.
Mounties say the occupants of two other vehicles that were also involved in the collision were not injured.
Initial stages of the investigation lasted for several hours, and RCMP believe that the motorcycle was heading north on Jennifer Heil Way when it rear-ended a GMC that had been stopped. Following the initial collision, the rider was tossed from the motorcycle and was hit by a trailer of another vehicle.
