18-year-old from Sherwood Park killed in collision with truck in Fort Saskatchewan: police

Police in Strathcona County say an 18-year-old Sherwood Park woman was killed in a collision between an SUV and a truck hauling a trailer Thursday morning.

Authorities say the collision happened at the intersection of Range Road 212 and Township Road 544 near Fort Saskatchewan before 7:30 a.m.

The woman, who was driving the SUV, was declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to an Edmonton hospital by EMS.

Strathcona County RCMP say they remained on the scene for several hours to investigate. That investigation is ongoing, they add.
