Police say a 19-year-old man is dead after he lost control of his motorcycle before striking the curb and then a tree in southeast Edmonton Sunday.
The Edmonton Police Service believes speed was a factor in the collision on Mill Woods Road S at 49A Street around 1:40 a.m.
Authorities say the man was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries.
The EPS major collision investigations section is investigating.
