Edmonton police investigating suspicious death in Chappelle neighbourhood

Police say homicide detectives are investigating a woman’s suspicious death in Edmonton’s Chappelle neighbourhood on Monday.
The Edmonton Police Service says around 8:30 a.m. officers responded to reports of an injured woman near Charles Bay and Charles Way in southeast Edmonton.
They arrived to find the victim in medical distress. EMS tried to save her life, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy has not been scheduled yet.
