Motorcyclist killed in Friday collision in Northwest Edmonton

Edmonton police say a motorcyclist is dead after a collision Friday evening.

EPS says around 5:27 p.m. on June 13, officers responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of 127 Street and 148 Avenue.

It is believed that a Kawasaki motorcycle was being riden along 127 Street when it approached the intersection and struck a Subaru that was turning left as the light changed red.

As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and was later declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

Police believe that the motorcycle’s speed was a factor in the collision.
