Monday afternoon’s collision on Highway 19 involving two pickup trucks sent two people to hospital, Edmonton police are now saying.
A 48-year-old woman driving a Ford Maverick was hospitalized with serious non-life-threatening injuries, while the 38-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Silverado was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Edmonton Police Service says the woman was driving south on 153 Street SW around 4:30 p.m. when she attempted to turn left onto Highway 19. Police say she was struck by the westbound Silverado.
That section of road was closed for just over three hours.
