‘Dangerous’ Alberta Hospital Edmonton escapee arrested; 2nd suspect still at large

One of two men wanted by police after they escaped Alberta Hospital on Tuesday evening has been arrested.

The Edmonton Police Service says Justin Somers, 39, was arrested by Fort Saskatchewan RCMP and is now in custody.

Police are still searching for Coletan Bearhead, 29. He was last seen running towards 18 Street near Alberta Hospital on Tuesday around 7 p.m.

Both men were previously in custody at the Alberta Hospital medical facility.

Bearhead is considered dangerous and should not be approached, as authorities believe he poses a risk to the public.

He is six-feet tall, about 220 lbs., with black hair, brown eyes, a moustache and pierced ears. He was last seen wearing a red hat, a red shirt, a black hoodie and black pants.
