Walking a tightrope: Edmonton firefighter rescues daredevil kitty on electrical line

A tightrope-walking feline with possible circus aspirations needed to be rescued by Edmonton fire crews after it managed to get on top of an electrical line.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services says the “daredevil” cat was saved by crews at Station 6 – with “a little guidance and a helping firefighter’s hand.”

“The situation ended purr-fectly safe and we know that if the rescuee could talk, they would thank the firefighters for the safe and quick assist!” EFRS said in a post on X.

The fire department shared a photo of the cat on the electrical line, and another one after it was saved.
