Edmonton police say two people are in hospital following a stabbing incident near Whyte Avenue Friday night.

EPS responded to 111 Street and 82 Avenue around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports of an altercation.

Two people were taken to a hospital after reportedly suffering stab wounds, and police note they have since been upgraded to stable condition.

Police are investigating the matter and say there is no additional information at this time.
