1 arrested after random shooting in west Edmonton

Police say a 45-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after a random shooting in west Edmonton in the early morning hours.

The Edmonton Police Service says officers responded to a weapons complaint around 150 Street and 111 Avenue at around 2:40 a.m.

It was reported that a 45-year-old man had shot at a 28-year-old man but missed him and instead struck the front glass of a business.

Police say the two men did not know each other, and charges are pending.
