Mounties still investigating a year after Wetaskiwin teen’s remains found in Parkland County

Mounties in Alberta are providing more details in the homicide investigation of a Wetaskiwin teenager whose remains were found in a treed area in Parkland County nearly a year ago.
The remains of Eric Moonias, 19, were discovered south of Spruce Grove on May 15, 2024.
Nearly one year later, investigators with the Alberta RCMP major crimes unit are revealing Moonias’ body was found in a container, and police believe he was transported there from a different location.
