Police say they arrested a 24-year-old Alberta man allegedly found with a large amount of cash during a traffic stop in Manitoba Tuesday afternoon.
The Manitoba RCMP’s roving traffic unit stopped the driver for a traffic violation on Highway 16 in the rural municipality of Minto-Odanah, police said in a press release.
A search of the vehicle led police to find “a large amount of Canadian currency,” though they didn’t specify how much. Police say they seized the cash and the vehicle.
Authorities shared a photograph showing several bundles of what appear to be mostly $20 and $50 bills.
The suspect, a resident of Stony Plain, Alta., was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
