Loss prevention officer stabbed at Clareview Walmart: Edmonton police

Edmonton police have arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing at a north side Walmart Monday morning.

Police say it happened around 8:30 a.m. at the Clareview Walmart on 40 Street and 137 Avenue.

The victim, a loss prevention officer, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where she is expected to recover.

The 35-year-old suspect was arrested on scene and is being charged with aggravated assault.

Police are continuing to investigate.
