Edmonton police investigating fatal motorcycle collision

Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred in northwest Edmonton on Friday night.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to the report of a collision involving a 2012 Yamaha Cruiser motorcycle and a building in the area of 128 Avenue and 120 Street.

The motorcycle, which had been travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on 128 Avenue towards 120 Street, collided with the side of a community league building.

A 45-year-old man rider was declared deceased on scene.

The investigation is ongoing, speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.
