Edmonton police issue warning over likely traffic delay near Legislature Friday evening

Edmonton police are advising motorists to avoid driving near the Legislature Friday evening, due to a planned demonstration.
EPS issued the advisory Friday afternoon, saying the demonstration would take place between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
It is believed that traffic in the area, notably from 109 Street to 107 Street and Jasper Avenue to 99 Avenue, will be impacted.
Police say they were already expecting higher vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area due to the Oilers game.
Anyone who is expecting to drive in the area should look for alternate routes or be prepared for delays.
