Police seek machete-wielding suspect in central Edmonton convenience store robbery

Investigators are turning to the public for help in identifying the suspect in the robbery of a central Edmonton convenience store four months ago.
The Edmonton Police Service says a man armed with a large machete and collapsible baton robbed the business at 142 Street and 118 Avenue on Dec. 8, 2024, around 12:30 a.m. He then fled on foot.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect can be seen on security camera footage, which police provided still images of, wearing a hoodie with dark grey sleeves, a baseball hat with a grey rim, sunglasses, as well as dark pants, shoes and gloves.
