Fire advisory issued for Leduc County

Leduc County has issued a fire advisory effective immediately, citing heightened wildfire risks due to persistent dry conditions and strong winds.

The advisory signals that fire hazard levels have increased, and while it does not currently ban all burning, it serves as a warning that stricter restrictions may be imposed if conditions worsen.

Under the advisory, open burning with valid fire permits is still allowed, as are fires contained within approved burn barrels or firepits.

Residents are encouraged to exercise caution and check for any updates or restrictions before starting a fire.

Fire conditions are being closely monitored, and updates will be provided online as the situation evolves.
