Alberta spending $19M on flood & drought protection

    UP NEXT:

Snowbrushes and shovels were back on Edmonton streets, as heavy, wet snow makes its way through until Friday afternoon.

The toque and mittens are still on as we enter late March as Edmonton and much of central Alberta is seeing a large round of wet, heavy snow continuing into Friday afternoon.

Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings for Edmonton and across central Alberta. 10-20 centimetres continues to be expected in Edmonton over the next two days.

Drivers may have been caught off guard waking up to see more winter. Collision reporting centres in the city say there were 93 reported collisions as of 3 p.m. on Thursday.

While the work week ends with snow and a chill in the air, next week Edmonton is expected to be back to normal temperatures, and hopefully, all the snow will disappear quicker than we got it.
