Snowfall warning issued for Edmonton

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Edmonton and parts of central Alberta.

Snow is expected to begin Wednesday night in parts of west-central Alberta, where it will then move south and east hitting Edmonton by Thursday morning and Red Deer by Thursday afternoon.

It is expected that 5 to 20 centimetres of snow will fall in central Alberta by Friday morning, with other parts of the province potentially getting up to 25 centimetres.

Edmonton is expected to see overnight lows of 0 C on Wednesday and -5 C on Thursday, while seeing daytime highs of 0 C on Thursday and -3 C on Friday.
