Shelter in place order lifted near Lac La Biche as RCMP take 2 people into custody

Alberta RCMP have lifted a shelter in place order near Highway 881 near Lac La Biche.

The order was issued Thrusday morning in an area near Lac La Biche — west of Range Road 134, east of Range Road 130A, and north up to the lake — due to a heavy police presence as officers are looking for a suspect believed to be linked to multiple break-and-enters in the area.

Mounties said two people were taken into custody, which allowed the order to be lifted.

At this time, RCMP have not provided any additional information.
