Alberta RCMP say four people have been charged after a traffic stop led to a drug bust on Sunday.

Mounties from Wetaskiwin reportedly conducted a traffic stop on a black Ram 1500 around 9:50 a.m. on Mar. 2.

During the stop, officers were reportedly able to find grounds to take the driver and three passengers into custody.

Following this, a search was conducted on everyone in the vehicle, and the vehicle itself, and Mounties were able to find and seize 110 grams of fentanyl, 65.7 grams of methamphetamine, a loaded .22 caliber handgun, a loaded sawed-off .22 rifle, and a shotgun.

As a result, 47-year-old Cherry Hurd, 34-year-old Chavonne Crane, 38-year-old Jeremiah Klatt, and 40-year-old Daniel Johnson are facing a combined 56 charges including firearm-related offences, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and being part of a criminal organization for trafficking.

All four have been remanded into custody, and are expected to appear in court on Mar. 4.
