The Edmonton Police Service says it’s investigating Angel Daniels’ death as a homicide.

On Friday evening, officers were called to Homestead Crescent and Hooke Road for the report of an assault. They arrived to find Daniels with gunshot wounds; she was declared dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators are still seeking dash camera and home security camera footage from the Overlanders neighbourhood Friday between 4:30-10 p.m. They are also asking any possible witnesses to come forward.
