Man found dead in vehicle parked outside southwest Edmonton home: police

Police say a man was found dead in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked outside a southwest Edmonton home on Tuesday night after gunshots were reported.
The Edmonton Police Service says the death in the Chappelle neighbourhood is considered suspicious, and homicide detectives are investigating.
Police say officers responded to the report of multiple gunshots at 41 Avenue and Chappelle Road shortly before 9 p.m.
The man was then found in the vehicle and declared dead at the scene. Police did not provide details on the nature of his injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Edmonton police are asking anyone with information, as well as area residents with dash cam or home security footage between 4-9:30 p.m., to reach out to police.
