Man killed in Fort McMurray shooting Saturday afternoon

Alberta RCMP says a man is dead after being shot in Fort McMurray Saturday afternoon.

Mounties reportedly responded to a report that a man had been shot near Signal Road and Thickwood Boulevard in Fort McMurray around 1:27 p.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the man suffering from serious injuries, and he was taken to hospital where he later died.

RCMP is turning to the public to see if anyone has any information, including dash cam or other video surveillance footage in the area. They note that the victim’s vehicle has been described as a 2007 Grey Hyundai Santa Fe.
