Edmonton police seize $400,000 of fentanyl, weapons from Callingwood home

Edmonton police say two suspects are facing several charges after officers seized a large quantity fentanyl, other drugs and multiple weapons from an apartment in Callingwood South in November.

The Edmonton Police Service says the two men – aged 42 and 54 – are facing more than 40 drug trafficking and firearm-related offences after an investigation that began in August.

Authorities say they arrested the men Nov. 2, 2024. Police allege one man was carrying $8,500 worth of fentanyl, 1,000 worth of methamphetamine and $5,000 in cash.

On the same day, police say they executed a search warrant at the men’s shared home — at an apartment building at 172 Street and 67 Avenue.

Edmonton police allege they seized:

  • A shotgun
  • Two rifles
  • Multiple swords
  • Ammunition rounds
  • 2,700 grams of fentanyl ($400,000 street value)
  • 120 grams of methamphetamine ($7,000)
  • 80 grams of cocaine ($6,000)
  • Hundreds of illegal cigarettes
  • Evidence of drug production
  • $1,000 of Canadian currency
  • Two stolen license plates
  • A Canadian passport

Timothy York, 42, and Jameson Doherty, 54, are facing dozens of charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and drug trafficking and possession of a firearm. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
