3 charged with murder after man’s body found in fire pit north of Edmonton

Alberta RCMP say three people have been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Jeremy Collins in April 2024.

Mounties say on April 18, officers found a fire pit containing human remains near the Kikino Metis Settlement, roughly 170 km northwest of Edmonton.

Investigators identified three people believed to be linked to Collins’ death.

On Jan. 17, Mounties took 33-year-old William Curtis White and 26-year-old Amber Hope into custody. Both were charged with first-degree murder and indignity to human remains.

On Jan. 22, officers arrested a third person. Randall Louis Gadwa, 31, has been charged with first-degree murder.

All three are expected to be in court in early February.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
