Edmonton police are hoping a billboard will help solve a missing person’s case.
Investigators believe something happened to 40-year-old Jeannine Ermineskin three years ago after she was last seen north of downtown.
“The investigation leading us to this community here and this area, and we believe there are potentially community members here who may have seen or heard something,” explained Cst. Matthew Broadfoot, with the Edmonton Police Service.
“We are hopeful that a member of the public will contact police with information that will assist us with our investigation.”

The billboard is sponsored by Native Counselling Services, which is hoping it will help find answers and highlight how Indigenous people remain at higher risk of going missing than the average Canadian.
“Jeannine Ermineskin is loved by her family and friends,” says Marlene Orr, Chief Executive Officer for Native Counselling Services of Alberta. “Native Counselling Services of Alberta is committed to working in partnership with EPS, REACH Edmonton and Crimestoppers to do what we can to help locate her. For her sake and for those who love her. Jeannine Ermineskin matters. She matters to her family, friends, advocates, the Indigenous community and to Native Counselling Services of Alberta.”
Police say Ermineskin is 5’8″ with brown eyes, long blond hair, and a thin build. Adding that when she was last seen she was wearing a black jacket, black pants and a red hoodie.
