City of Edmonton to lift extreme weather response

The City of Edmonton will end its extreme weather response on Monday, at 9 a.m., as temperatures are expected to rise.

The final night of the expanded overnight shuttle service (west route) and emergency shelter at Al Rashid Mosque will be on Sunday.

The extreme weather response, activated on December 30, 2024, included additional overnight shuttles and a temporary shelter at Al Rashid Mosque, providing up to 50 spaces.

The two overnight shuttle buses (north and south routes) will continue until March 31, 2025.

For ongoing shelter support, the Navigation Centre remains open 24/7.

Call 911 for emergencies or 211 for non-emergency crisis support.
