Crews battle commercial structure fire in southeast Edmonton

Fire damaged a commercial structure in southeast Edmonton Thursday night.

Fire crews were called to 43 Street and 78 Avenue at 11:14 p.m., and they arrived to find heavy smoke emitting from the back of the building.

Officials told CityNews that the fire was brought under control at 12:24 a.m. and was officially declared out at 1:44 a.m.

No injuries have been reported, and it’s unclear how the fire started.
