Alberta RCMP says they are investigating an incident that caused a shelter-in-place order Monday night in Wetaskiwin.
Around 8:30 p.m., Mounties issued a shelter-in-place order for residents along Township Road 441 between Range Road 224 and 822 due to an incident involving firearms.
At the time residents were asked to stay indoors and away from windows.
Around 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, RCMP lifted the shelter-in-place order but noted that a heavy police presence was still in the area.
RCMP say they will provide more information later.
