1 hospitalized in early morning blaze at boarded-up property in central Edmonton

One person was taken to hospital after a fire at a boarded-up property in central Edmonton early Monday morning.

Eight units were dispatched to the property on 102 Street around 5 a.m.

The neighbouring building was evacuated as a precaution. Residents were eventually allowed back in their homes, and the fire was called out at 9:33 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
